The 2018 TER welcomes DMACK as Official Tyre Partner
The TER – Tour European Rally promoters have signed an agreement with British tyre firm DMACK, which has been appointed as the Official Tyre Partner of the TER – Tour European Rally from 2018.
DMACK has a global motorsport expertise reaching up to the FIA World Rally Championship, in which the company has been an authorised tyre supplier since 2011 and where its products allowed Elfyn Evans to secure his maiden WRC victory in the 2017 Wales Rally GB.
Alongside further initiatives to be announced later, the first and greatest innovation concerns the “junior” series, which will take the new name of DMACK TER2 Cup. This will be reserved to drivers under 26 (i.e. born after 01/01/1992) using R2 cars and DMACK Tyres.
Luca Grilli (TER – Tour European Rally Promoter and Organiser) said: "Everybody at TER is happy to welcome DMACK on board, adding our series to the long list of championships where they have enjoyed success and demonstrated their know-how and passion. Their experience and help will be precious for our series, teams and drivers and motivate everybody to keep working hard to reach “the excellence in rallies”."
Dick Cormack (DMACK managing director) said: "The TER offers a high-quality competitor base, significant TV package and popular events where our motorsport products will excel. DMACK is looking forward to working with TER competitors and providing exciting incentives and a performance-related prize structure."
