The driver of the Ford Fiesta WRC leads the Rally and the standings of the Tour European Rally after Special Stage 7, in his bid for his first national title. Raimund Baumschlager is trying to keep up the pace with his Škoda Fabia R5, and holds a small advantage over the Ford Fiesta WRC of Gerwald Grössing who lost some time on the fourth stage. Local hero Andreas Aigner is fourth in his guest appearance with a Škoda Fabia S2000.
Simon Wagner (Citroen DS3 R3 Max) increased his lead in the 2WD category with six consecutive fastest times, only leaving the seventh stage to his title rival Daniel Wollinger. Young italian driver Tamara Molinaro in her first ever rally, codriven by world class co-driver Ilka Minor, is speeding up her pace with every stage and is up to 19th overall.
