The Rally d'Abruzzo joins the 2018 TER – Tour European Rally

A great opportunity for a new start in a unique location!

The promoters and organisers of the TER – Tour European Rally are delighted to reveal the latest addition to the series' calendar. The Rally d'Abruzzo, based in Teramo, will offer technical gravel stages in a beautiful area of great tourist appeal; ideally set between sea and mountain it is an all-year round tourism destination.

Luca Grilli (TER Promoter and Organiser) said: “We strongly believe in the potential of the Rally d'Abruzzo. This new event is a great opportunity to relaunch and promote a beautiful region, its wild nature which will host the rally route, its unique characteristics: Teramo lays within 25 kms from both the sea and the Gran Sasso mountain, an ideal location for the Tour European Rally drivers, teams and fans”.

Max Rendina (Motorsport Italia - Rally d'Abruzzo Organiser) said: “This is a new experience, we wish to promote this territory after the seismic events and to take the Rally d'Abruzzo amongst the events which count within three years. We have had enormous support from all the institutions for this adventure, led by Alfredo De Dominicis who knows the area well. We are delighted to have joined an international series as the TER – Tour European Rally which has proved to be a valuable tool working for a global promotion and reach”.

- 4/5 May - Transilvania Rally (ROMANIA)
- 17/20 May -  Rallye Antibes Côte d’Azur (FRANCE)
- 21/23 June - Renties Ypres Rally (BELGIUM)
- 2/4 August - Rali Vinho da Madeira (PORTUGAL)
- 8/9 September - Rally d’Abruzzo (ITALY)
- 18/20 October - Rallye Int. du Valais (SWITZERLAND)
