José Pedro Fontes wins the second round of TER in Madeira

06.08.2016

The second round of the 2016 Tour European Rally, in Rali Vinho da Madeira, saw a fierce fight at the top until the last stage. After Bruno Magalhães was handed a 35" penalty, victory went to José Pedro Fontes, who had gone in front of Alexandre Camacho in the final stage for only 1”0, with the latter ending second ahead of Miguel Nunes. TER drivers trusted the overall top ten places, with frenchman Romain Dumas taking the TER 2WD Trophy and the win in the R-GT class with his Porsche 997 GT3. The TER trophy for the fastest “Under 25” driver went to Pedro Paixao.

The final results are provisional, awaiting the result of the appeal lodged by Bruno Magalhães against Decision n.1 of the Stewards of the Meeting.
