Sébastien Carron holds onto the lead in Rallye International du Valais

Sébastien Carron managed his lead in the afternoon loop of stages of Rallye International du Valais, the final round of the 2016 Tour European Rally. While Fabio Andolfi won all the four afternoon stages (sharing fastest time in one with Jan Cerny), the 2016 Swiss Champion followed in the slipstream to end the day in first with an advantage of 11 seconds over Fabio Andolfi (Hyundai New Generation i20 R5), who has stretched the gap to third-placed Cerny to 20,7''.

Jérémie Toedtli is only 0.4'' away from a podium place after being second fastest in two occasions this afternoon, 16,6'' ahead of Florian Gonon who is fighting to defend fifth place from Pascal Perroud, 2 seconds behind him. Olivier Burri is seventh for his first time in a Hyundai New Generation i20 R5, 4,6'' in front of Pieter Tsjoen's Ford Fiesta R5. Marc Valliccioni leads the 2WD class in a Porsche 997 and is currently 11th overall.
