Yoann Bonato, codriven by Benjamin Boulloud on a Citroën C3 was fastest in the first two stages of Sunday morning, extending his advantage at the top of Rallye Antibes Côte d’Azur, second round of the 2022 TER - Tour European Rally.
Nicolas Ciamin with Yannick Roche fought back, setting the best time on stages 10 and 11, with their Hyundai i20 Rally 2. At the mid-day service break, they are 26.6" behind Bonato.
Hugo Margaillan and Laëtitia Marsault (Citroën C3) hang on to third place, with a good pace.
Steve Fernandes and Christophe Leroys’ Škoda Fabia is in fourth. Despite the gap, due to the time lost on Saturday, fifth placed Bernd Casier - Pieter Vincke (Ford Fiesta Rally 2) continue to fight, setting stage times close to their rivals.
Mexican brothers Patrice and Nicolas Spitalier are doing well for their first event in Europe. With a Renault Clio, they are leading in TER Junior and gathering experience which will be precious in the rest of the season.
