Zippo fast but doomed as Trolliet maintains TER Historic lead in Rallye du Chablais

Audi driver wins three stages but has to stop after turbo failure. 

 

Midway through the second day of Rallye du Chablais, 2022 TER Historic Round 3, Guy Trolliet and Sébastien Moulin’s Porsche 911 retains the lead.

 

The day began on the sun-soaked stages of the Swiss alps with Zippo and Denis Piceno setting three fastest times on their Audi Quattro, in a bid to regain the time lost with a clutch issue in the opening leg. The 2021 ERC Group 3 Historic Champion was sadly forced to stop once again, due to a turbo failure on Stage 10.

 

Tim Metcalfe - John Connor (Ford Escort) are consistent and holding on to second place. The experienced British crew aims to extend its championship poins total.
