TER Historic stalwarts Metcalfe and Connor add a “British” touch to the series

Provisional leaders seek second Historic series success in Gallura

 

The British crew of Tim Metcalfe and John Connor will set sail towards the beautiful Mediterranean island of Sardinia to compete in Rally Terra Sarda, the final round of the 2022 TER Historic Series of which they lead the provisional standings after victory in Rallye Antibes Côte d’Azur and second place in Rallye du Chablais.

 

Driving a Ford Escort RS MkII, Metcalfe and Connor have been part of the TER Historic since the Series’ first event, 2019 Rally Costa Brava in Spain, bringing a touch of British class and humour to the latest concept of Rally series.

 

Their speed and consistency have ensured they became regulars on the podium of each season’s final standings: 3rd in 2019, 1st in 2020 and 2nd in 2021.
