Impressive TER entries in Rali Vinho da Madeira

The second round of the Tour European Rally attracts 40 entries in Rali Vinho da Madeira, stretching the previous record (29) set in Arad Rally the opening event.  

The TOUR EUROPEAN RALLY – TER project, combining the assets of some outstanding rally events in Europe into a “Championship” with enhanced global promotion, has gained considerable reputation after only one round out of four.

The new series, in its debut year, has now almost 70 registered drivers from 9 nations, more than half of which will be fighting from thursday to saturday on the portuguese island's challenging roads.

Amongst the best drivers entered in Rali Vinho da Madeira and in the Tour European Rally, four-time winner Bruno Magalhaes, the portoguese champion Jose Pedro Fontes, Robert Consani, Romain Dumas winner in 2016 of the Le Mans 24 Hours and Pikes Peak hillclimb – all within one week. Twelve R5 cars, a handful of Porsche R-GT plus various R4 and R3 contendants are comprised in the entry list. 

The events which are part of the first season of the TER are all based in tourist-oriented areas, with unique specific features, combined with excellent touristic and/or historical background.

Like in Arad, in Madeira too, the  "TER RALLY VILLAGE" set up within the service area adjacent to the CR7 Hotel, the new elite complex inaugurated by world famous football star Cristiano Ronaldo (born in Madeira in 1985)  will allow the rally fans to know better the TER events and their location, tourist packages, food, history, etc.

The TER Championship and its locations are promoted through a global Media and TV Coverage and on the most important social networks, with dedicated channels and pages.
