Pryce and Scattolon fight at the front in TER Season Finale Rally Terra Sarda

07.10.2023

Exciting battle over tenths of a second in Sardegna

After the morning shakedown, Rally Terra Sarda set off from Tempio Pausania in a beautiful sunny day.

The TER crews are fighting at the front. 2022 British Champion Osian Pryce, with Stéphane Prévot, was fastest in the opening stage on his double debut with the Hyundai I20N Rally2 and on the technical island roads. In the second stage, 2014 Italian Junior Champion Giacomo Scattolon set the best time to take his Volkswagen Polo into the lead by only 0.2 seconds over Pryce. Another great battle is on for the third step of the podium, between the Hyundai of 2017 TER2 Cup runner-up Simon Vallentin and the Skoda Fabia of Loris Ronzano.

Three-time Turkish Champion Burak Çukurova is fifth leading a pack of Škoda Fabias. Ronnie Caragliu and Sotiris Ieremiadis follow, divided by only 0.4 seconds.

Pierre Paul Baltolu, codriven by Anthony Pes, leads the TER Junior on his Renault Clio Rally4, while Angelo Orecchioni’s Peugeot 208 Rally4 is fastest in TER 2WD.
