Pryce and Scattolon fight at the forefront

The final 2023 round of the TER Series, the World Series of the TER, is the scene of some great duels, on the technical island stages of the Gallura and Costa Smeralda area.

Holding on to the provisional overnight lead, 2022 British Champion Osian Pryce with Stéphane Prévot on a Hyundai i20 N Rally 2 has 6.8 seconds in hand over 2014 Italian Junior Champion Giacomo Scattolon codriven by Sauro Farnocchia on a Volkswagen Polo.

The third podium place is for Rudy Andriolo and Manuel Menegon's Škoda Fabia R5. Another fight sees 2017 TER2 Cup runner-up, Danish Simon Vallentin sharing a Hyundai i20 N Rally2 with Peter Egholm, trading places and seconds with the Škoda Fabia R5 of Loris Ronzano and Gloria Andreis, only 1.8 seconds separating the crews at the overnight halt.

In sixth position, Auro Siddi codriven by Giuseppe Mazzoni's Škoda Fabia R5 leads the sister car of Greek driver Sotiris Ieremiadis with Pietro Ometto. A stunning performance sees young Frenchman Pierre-Paul Baltolu with Anthony Pes take their Renault Clio Rally 5 up to 8th overall.

More Fabias complete the provisional top ten, with another exciting duel in sight: Roberto Cocco and Sergio Deiana have 6.5 seconds in hand over Ivan Pisciottu codriven by Gianfranco Tali.

Action in Rally Terra Sarda will resume tomorrow, Sunday October 8th, with SS 6 Aglientu, the TER Power Stage awarding important bonus points.
