TER Series Ambassador Hayden Paddon secures sixth national title

Hyundai New Zealand driver the only one to win six championships

 

Hayden Paddon, codriven by John Kennard, has secured a record sixth New Zealand Rally Championship at the end of the opening leg in Repco Rally New Zealand.

 

The 2016 Argentina WRC rally winner won the fifth Championship round driving a Hyundai Rally2.

Hayden Paddon is now the only driver to have won six overall NZRC titles. He also holds the record for the greatest number of rally wins.

 

Paddon and Kennard will now head to Sardinia, to fight for the 2022 TER - Tour European Rally title in next week's Rally Terra Sarda, final season round of the newest concept of Rally Series
